Brandon Marshall is a Miami Dolphin...FINALLY we have a BIG PLAY/BIG NAME WR!

From ESPN.com:
The Denver Broncos are trading wide receiver Brandon Marshall to the Miami Dolphins for a second-round pick in next week's NFL draft and what league sources say is an additional second-round pick in 2011. The trade is contingent upon the league processing the paperwork and Marshall passing his physical, neither of which is expected to be an issue on Wednesday.

Marshall is scheduled to fly to Miami to take his physical and, if he passes, sign what will be one of the most lucrative wide receiver deals in NFL history, according to league sources. In return, the Broncos will get two high draft picks for a player who caused them headaches in addition to making plays.

Personal Commentary:
We now have the big play WR we've needed for the past few years. Parcells must have felt even more pressure given that our rivals, The "Stinkin'" New York Jets, signed Santonio Holmes this week. There's now no reason the Dolphins shouldn't challenge for the AFC East this year and at least make a playoff appearance (barring any key injuries). As a lifelong 'Phins Phan, in my 34 years on this earth, I haven't had much to be excited about save one Super Bowl appearance with Dan Marino at the helm when I was 8 years old. The '72 undefeated team and back to back Super Bowl titles are great pieces of this team's history...but it happened before I was born. This year seems it could be special with a key acquisition (Karlos Dansby) on defense, a strong-armed, young QB who can overthrow the fastest WR, and the freedom to use a great pick early in the first round of the draft to fill a need other than WR -- where we haven't really done well in the past anyway. Now that we have Marshall, I approach this season with careful optimism -- but GREAT excitement -- and as a Phan...I say, PHINALLY! GO DOLPHINS!!!
